Add some tricks to your treats

I can't wait to share with you the fun DIYs I've got for Halloween this year. First up, we've got these scary (yet adorable?!) monster cupcakes.
You will need cupcakes, mini white marshmallows and chocolate writing icing. The icing can be any colour but I chose chocolate because I wanted the eyes to really 'pop' against the white marshmallows.
It's up to you whether you want to buy or bake your cupcakes. I bought plain ones to save time and then iced them myself with green icing. Ideally, you want the icing to be fresh so you can place the marshmallows in the soft icing which will help them stay in place.
Once you've iced your cupcakes, you want to place a small dot on each of your mini marshmallows to make the 'pupil'. I placed the dots at different angles on the marshmallows to make the 'monsters' look a little more deranged.
To finish, just place two marshmallows on the top of your cupcakes, gently pushing them in to the icing so they stay in place.
Pretty fun, hey? I love how these turned out. I think your guests will be delighted (or terrified?) when they spot them!
