With the *second* bank holiday of the month upon us, it's time to get excited for garden parties, picnics and barbecues! One of my favourite sweet treats to serve is ice cream but if you're scooping out a lot of ice cream (especially if you're making something like sundaes), it can start to melt before you get around to serving it to your guests so it ends up looking like a soggy mess. To prevent this, why not scoop your ice cream ahead of time as suggested by Oh Happy Day. Place the scoops on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper then put in the freezer and take it out just as you want to serve it. And there you have it - perfect scoops for your dessert! This is especially effective if you're serving a scoop of ice cream next to a dessert such as warm brownies.
I love to serve ice cream in our polka dot serving cups too!
Have a great bank holiday weekend!
